Dysport, Botox and Daxxify – $13/unit
Doses were defined in Speywood units. One unit (U) is defined as the mean intraperitoneal lethal dose (LD50) in mice. The Dysport® 500 U vial contains 4.35 ng of botulinum toxin A 1,2,3, also called protein load (the amount of neurotoxin effectively present per vial). Therefore, one Speywood unit (U) is equivalent to 0.0087 ng of toxin. Or, inverting the proportion, each nanogram of neurotoxin is equivalent to approximately 115 Speywood U. CAUTION: DYSPORT® units (Speywood units) are specific to the preparation and are not interchangeable with other botulinum toxin A preparations.
